A Candy-Stripe Revival

The Filigrana Cluster, part of Sebastian Wrong’s celebrated Filigrana Light series for Established & Sons, reimagines an artisanal tradition dating back to 16th-century Venetian glassmaking. Drawing on this age-old technique, the Cluster arranges multiple mouth-blown, acid-etched glass pendants into vibrant groupings, fusing historic craftsmanship with modern design flair.

Clusters That Capture the Eye

The collection includes several preset cluster compositions—C3a, C3b, C5, and the dramatic C9 “Cloud”. Each cluster features different combinations of Filigrana shades, named after their shapes (like S2 cylinder, S3 ellipse, S4 ellipse), and come together in rich candy-stripe patterns that create a kaleidoscopic effect. The C9 "Cloud", featuring nine pendants, forms a billowing, floating mass—an arresting centerpiece for any space.

Craftsmanship Meets Modernity

Each shade is mouth-blown and then acid-etched to soften the surface, resulting in a soft, diffused glow. During the glassblowing process, colored glass canes are rolled into the molten glass, crafting the classic candy-cane stripes. The result is that no two lights are identical, each carrying its own distinct pattern and character.

Technical and Material Excellence

Constructed from elegant, acid-etched mouth-blown glass, the Filigrana Cluster is supported by acrylic and powder-coated steel fixings, with steel suspension cables that contribute minimal visual intrusion. Clusters hang from ceiling plates (60 cm diameter for C3a, C3b, C5 clusters; 100 cm for C9 Cloud) and accept standard E26/E27 LED bulbs (warm 2700K), allowing for dimming and versatile installation.
