Space Matrix has transformed SCOR’s Singapore base into a workplace that champions agility and shared identity. The new headquarters carries the intent of the OneSCOR culture into every corner, turning abstract values into spatial experiences. What could have been a conventional corporate interior becomes a network of spaces shaped for connection, creativity, and personal comfort.

From the earliest stages, the design process was anchored in deep user research. Space Matrix led visioning sessions and focus groups with SCOR employees to understand how people wanted to work, collaborate, and rest. These insights helped shape a strategy that balances “we” spaces for team interaction and “me” spaces for individual concentration. The new workplace is less about assigned desks and more about creating settings that support diverse work modes.

A series of open, flowing zones organizes the 28,150 square-foot space. Collaboration areas include agile lounges, meeting clusters, and huddle booths, while quieter work corners invite deep concentration. The layout encourages movement. Employees can shift naturally between gathering with colleagues and retreating into focused areas. This spatial flexibility also supports SCOR’s goal of retaining talent by making the office feel more responsive than rigid.

Access to daylight and ambient lighting plays a significant role. Large windows bring natural light deep into the plan. Light filters across desk surfaces, into circulation paths, and into meeting spaces, giving every area a luminous quality. Lighting fixtures are tuned to create a supportive atmosphere for different activities—from brainstorming to reflective work—without overwhelming the senses.

Materiality and finishes support a warm and modern aesthetic. Timber surfaces appear in collaborative zones to nurture a sense of comfort, while muted upholstery tones reduce visual noise. Flooring subtly changes in pattern between zones so that paths, seating areas, and workspaces are legible by feel and sight. Even small design decisions reflect Space Matrix’s care for detail and its interest in creating a workplace that feels human and considered.

Teams can rearrange furniture, convert meeting areas as needed, and adapt the layout to evolving working habits. This capacity for change ensures that the office will remain relevant as SCOR’s needs and workflows evolve.
