Perched in the dramatic landscape of Bukit, Bali, Bloom Hotel is conceived not as an object placed on land, but as a living organism born from it. Designed by Olesia Babushkina and realized in collaboration with PT QREATOR ARCHITECTURAL & STUDIO CLN BUILDING, the project reimagines resort architecture as Eden embodied - an immersive world where building, garden, and human experience merge into a single, breathing ecosystem.

From the outset, Bloom Hotel positions itself as architecture in symbiosis with nature. The forms emerge organically from the terrain, echoing the contours of the land and the density of tropical vegetation that defines Ungasan. Symbolically, the entire world of Bloom rests on a turtle - an ancient emblem of stability, balance, and harmony with natural elements. This metaphor quietly underpins the project’s philosophy: architecture here does not dominate the landscape but blooms from it, becoming part of a greater living garden.

A Garden You Enter, Not a Building

The guest experience unfolds as an emotional and sensory journey rather than a conventional hotel arrival. Passing through an accent arch at the entrance, visitors move along a flower-lined alley that signals a transition from the external world into a protected realm of abundance. Fragrance, color, air movement, and light guide the way, blurring the boundaries between architecture and landscape.

The site is conceived as a paradise garden, rich with bougainvillea, vines, shrubs, and trees in layered hues of purple, pink, fuchsia, coral, and lilac. This chromatic density creates the impression of perpetual bloom - an environment that never rests, always alive and at its most expressive. Greenhouses, inner courtyards, gazebo pavilions, decorative ponds, and cascading pools extend this narrative, ensuring that water, vegetation, and architecture are perceived not as separate elements, but as parts of one continuous sensory field.

Butterflies appear throughout the project as an abstract symbol of transformation and renewal. Rather than literal motifs, their presence is felt through fluid geometries, airy façades, and shifting patterns of light and shadow. The result is a space that invites calm, inspiration, and a sense of inner flourishing.

Biomorphic Architecture as Metaphor

At the heart of Bloom Hotel lies a deeply poetic architectural language. The buildings are interpreted as flowering plants: columns become stems, balconies unfold like leaves, rooms read as petals, and the façade acts as the living skin of a flower. Through this biomorphic lens, architecture transcends construction to become metaphor - an ever-blooming garden rendered in structural form.

Two main buildings are arranged in a porous configuration, forming a protected inner courtyard that serves as the emotional and spatial core of the complex. The layout supports a natural flow of movement and air, while opening expansive views toward the ocean. Balcony depths gradually reduce on upper floors, visually lightening the volumes and reinforcing their organic, almost floating silhouette. Ribbon balconies accentuate horizontality, enhancing the sense that the architecture dissolves into the surrounding landscape.

Accessible rooftops further extend the garden upward. Panoramic terraces and elevated glass volumes transform these levels into public green spaces, reinforcing the project’s commitment to greenery as an integral architectural element rather than an applied layer.

Architecture of Experience

Bloom Hotel’s innovation lies in its holistic integration of artistic vision, structural logic, and engineering rationality. Biomorphic form is not applied as decoration; it shapes the entire spatial and functional logic of the project. The façade becomes a narrative surface, telling a story of growth, flowering, and coexistence with nature, while the spatial sequence - from entrance arch to cascading pool - reads as a carefully choreographed emotional passage through a living landscape.

In this sense, Bloom proposes a new model for resort architecture. It is not architecture of spectacle, but architecture of feeling. Guests are not simply accommodated; they are immersed, becoming part of a blooming ecosystem where nature, form, and emotion exist in balance.

Rooted in symbolism, landscape richness, and biomorphic expression, it radically departs from standard resort typologies.
